Terms of Service
- You must be 13 or older. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission. Buying coins, money matches and cashing out are 18+ only.
- Coins are Konqua’s one currency. Where real money is open, you can buy coins with naira and cash coins out after we verify your identity. Gear and outfits have no cash value.
- You can’t sell coins, items or your account outside Konqua.
- Play fair: no cheats, hacks, bots or bug abuse.
- Be decent in chat and voice. We can remove messages and suspend accounts that break these rules.
- Konqua is provided as is. Nigerian law applies.
1. Who we are
Konqua is the phone-style web app that holds Trenches Troopers, Konqua Bank, Contacts, Comms, Leaderboard, Settings and the other apps inside it (together, the "Service"). It is run by Konqua ("we", "us" or "HQ").
These Terms are an agreement between you and us. By using the Service, including as a guest, you agree to them. When you create an account you agree to them again by tapping Create account. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
Your use of the Service is also covered by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice. Extra rules shown inside an app (for example, the ad rules in Advertise or the money-match rules in Konqua Bank) form part of these Terms.
2. Who can use Konqua
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you and is responsible for your use of the Service.
- Buying coins, money matches and cashing out are only for players aged 18 or older, in the countries listed in Konqua Bank.
- One person, one account. You can’t use the Service if we have banned you before.
3. Your account
Guest accounts live in your browser. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, a guest account can be lost. Guest accounts with fewer than 3 matches that haven’t been used for 30 days are deleted automatically. Create an account to keep your progress.
When you create an account, give accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password and Konqua Bank PIN secret. You are responsible for everything done with your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.
Your username and display name must not copy another person, a brand or HQ, and must not be offensive. We may change or remove a name that breaks this rule.
If you forget your password, tap “Forgot password?” and we’ll email a reset code to the email on your account. You can also sign in with Google if you linked it.
4. Coins, gear and other game items
Coins are the one currency in Konqua. You get them from the welcome and email bonuses, from friends you invite once they verify their identity, and by winning money matches, and, where real money is open, you can buy them with naira. Normal matches give XP, not coins. XP, ranks, gear, outfits and other in-game items are part of the game too. Together these are "Game Items". We give you a limited, personal licence to use them in the Service.
Gear, outfits, XP and ranks have no money value. Coins can only be turned into money by cashing out in Konqua Bank under section 5, where and while we offer it. Otherwise coins have no money value either.
Konqua Bank is the name of an app in Konqua. It is not a bank: coins are not a deposit, earn no interest and are not covered by any deposit insurance.
You may send coins to other players in Konqua Bank once your identity is verified; anyone with a saved account can receive them. Coins you bought must be staked or spent before they can be sent or cashed out. You must not buy, sell or trade coins, Game Items or accounts with anyone outside the Service.
We may change, rebalance or remove Game Items, and correct balances that are wrong because of a bug, fraud or a mistake. Game Items end when your account ends, so cash out first if you can.
5. Buying coins, money matches and cashing out
If and where we offer real money, these extra rules apply:
- You must be 18 or older and live in a country listed in Konqua Bank. You need a saved account and a verified email, and you must give your true date of birth and country. We may ask you to prove them.
- Buying coins: Konqua Bank shows the naira price per coin before you pay. Payments go through our payment partner, whose terms also apply. You must play coins you buy (stake them or spend them) before you can cash them out.
- Money matches: both players stake the same number of coins, and HQ holds both stakes until the match ends. The winner takes both stakes less the fee shown before you accept. If the kills are level, both stakes come back. If you leave a match early, you lose it.
- Cashing out: you can cash out coins at the rate shown in Konqua Bank. That rate is lower than the price for buying coins. Before your first cash-out, we verify your identity through our identity-check partner, using a Nigerian ID (such as your NIN card or slip, driver’s licence, passport or voter’s card) and a live selfie, or your National Identification Number (NIN). Each person, and each ID, can be linked to only one account. Cash-outs go only to a bank account in the name on your verified ID. Each cash-out must meet the minimum and stay within the daily and 30-day limits shown in Konqua Bank. You approve each cash-out with your PIN, and HQ pays it after checking it.
- Cheating, working with your opponent, using more than one account, using someone else’s identity or payment details, or any other unfair play voids the match. We may hold, cancel or reverse winnings and cash-outs while we check, and report fraud to the authorities.
- You are responsible for making sure money matches are legal where you live and for any tax on your winnings.
- We may change the rates, fees and limits for future payments, matches and cash-outs. We may also limit, pause or end real money at any time. If we end it, we will give you a fair chance to cash out the coins you can cash out at that time.
6. Fair play and conduct
You agree not to:
- cheat, hack, modify the game, use bots, macros or scripts, or abuse bugs (please report them to us instead);
- harass, threaten or bully anyone, or post hate speech, sexual content, or someone else’s private information;
- spam, scam, or advertise in chat (businesses can use Advertise in Settings instead);
- pretend to be HQ, a moderator or another player;
- make extra accounts to farm rewards, invite bonuses or coins;
- attack, overload, scrape or try to get into our servers or other players’ accounts;
- share, sell or buy accounts; or
- do anything illegal or help anyone else break these Terms.
7. Chat, voice and what you post
Messages in Comms are public: every player can see them. Direct messages are seen by you and the other player. HQ may look at messages when they are reported or when we need to keep players safe.
Voice chat sends your microphone live to players near you in a match. We pass it through our servers but don’t record or store it. Only turn your mic on if you’re happy for other players to hear you.
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a free, worldwide licence to host, show and moderate it so the Service can work. We don’t check everything posted, but we may remove anything that breaks these Terms. You can block players in Contacts.
8. Ads
Konqua shows ads from businesses through Konqua Ads: on the home screen, on map billboards and as sponsored notifications. HQ reviews every ad, but an ad is not our recommendation. If you tap Visit, the advertiser’s own website, terms and privacy policy apply.
If you advertise, your ad must be legal, true and yours to use. No betting, adult, political, religious, get-rich-quick or misleading ads. We may approve, reject or remove any ad. You are responsible for your ad and the business behind it. You pay the price quoted when you book, as arranged with HQ.
9. Our content
The Service, its game, art, sounds, code and names belong to us or the people we license them from. We give you a limited, personal, non-commercial, revocable licence to use the Service under these Terms. You may not copy, sell, rent, change, reverse-engineer or build a competing product from any part of it.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely without paying you.
10. Changes and ending your use
We may change, pause or end the Service or any part of it, including resetting or rebalancing the game.
We may suspend or close your account, remove Game Items, or hold winnings and cash-outs if we reasonably believe you broke these Terms or the law, or to protect other players. Where we can, we will tell you why.
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).
11. No warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, free of errors or bugs, secure, or that your data or progress will never be lost.
Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under Nigerian consumer law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018, that cannot be excluded.
12. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of ₦20,000 or the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim.
These limits do not apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to fraud, or where the law does not allow them.
13. Your responsibility to us
If you break these Terms or the law and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees.
14. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
If you have a problem, contact us first. We’ll try to sort it out within 30 days. If we can’t, the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, will decide the dispute. You can also complain to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new Terms. The version and date are at the top.
16. General
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If a court finds any part invalid, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up. You can’t transfer these Terms to someone else; we may transfer them to a business that takes over the Service.
